I am starting this blog as I am starting a big transition in my life. I am starting a new job at a new company in just ONE WEEK!!!!
I was afraid to even look for a new job in this economy because in many ways I feel like I should have been ecstatic just having a full time job that had benefits and having worked there for 5 years now I was up to 4 weeks of vacation time a year which is amazing and great for any 25 year old.
But the truth was that I was not 100% happy. Duh duh DUH!!!!
I have been through MANY MANY management changes it had just left me unhappy for a over 6 months and I realized that I did not want to be unhappy any longer. I also had to look at my life and determine that if I wanted a real career I needed to be able to advance and lets be honest... I would never be able to buy a new car and never a house on what I was making. It was a lot to swallow but that is when I really understood that it was time to take things into my own hands and attempt to get a new job.
I was lucky that I got the first job I really applied for and the only interview I went on. Then I had to past a background check and get fingerprinted for a NMLS test so that was another week of waiting and seeing if the contingent job offer worked out and became real. Well as you know I start this coming week so obviously things worked out. Lets hope I LOVE my new job and am able to learn all the things I need to!!!! AHHH!!!
